Here are the top 5 biosimilar articles for the week of June 12th, 2023.
Number 5: Alvotech and Advanz Pharma extended their partnership to commercialize 5 biosimilar candidates across Europe.
Number 4: Infliximab (IFX) biosimilar SB2 was shown to be safe and effective in IFX-naïve patients and those who switched from a prior IFX reference or biosimilar.
Number 3: Sarfaraz K. Niazi, PhD, examined the new FDA guideline that acts as an invitation to biosimilar developers to decrease the cost of testing, potentially opening the door for companies to reduce nonclinical testing of biosimilars entirely.
Number 2: New research has found the 340B program is slowing uptake of biosimilars by incentivizing use of more expensive biologics.
